Patients are to be called for breast screeing appointments in January. This will commence at the Breast clinic being held in the Morrisons Car park on the clinic bus from 7/1/19.
We apologise that due to staffing we will not be able to do any new Nurse appointments for ear syringing or ear wax checks. We hope to be back up and running with this service after the summer. We apologise that this non urgent service will not be available for this time. We hope you understand we need to prioritise urgent nurse appointments.
Patients Arriving Late for Appointments
An increasing number of patients are attending late for their appointments.
If you arrive 5 or more minutes late for your appointment you will not be seen.
If you are less than 5 minutes late you may be seen, but this will be at the doctor or nurse's discretion. You are likely to be asked to wait until there is a free space in the clinic - this could take from a few minutes to well over an hour.
If we hold an up to date mobile number for you a text reminder of your appointment can be sent 24h in advance - please check with reception that you have given us permission for this.
GDPR - Please see our Policies tab for further information on this.
Adverse weather conditions
On occasion we may need to offer a limited emergency only service on days when severe weather warnings are in place. If this happens please contact our usual number 01505320208 and you will be given option 'to press one' to get through to a duty drs mobile telephone. This should only be used if you have an urgent medical emergency. We hope you can understand the safety of all using our service is paramount. The web site will be kept up to date with information advising if we are open or not. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. If your condition is life threatening please call 999 for ambulance service. If your appointment this week is not urgent we encourage you to cancel and rebook.
If you do not wish to travel and your appointment is not urgent please reply No to your recent text message to advise you are cancelling your appointment. Alternatively please call us on 01505 320208 to advise you are cancelling your appointment. We have limited GPs and staff in so this is very much appreciated.
Please self care where you feel able and use NHS choices, patient.co.uk, your local pharmacy (if open) and NHS24 for advice. Please only attend emergency departments if you have a serious accident or have a life threatening emergency.
If you can also be patient with staff and clinicians who are covering for other colleagues we would be very grateful. This may mean you wait a little longer for your call to be answered or to see your GP.
Many thanks from The Practice Manager
